Default Possum problem

Here lately I have been losing fruit that was half eaten by something. I suspected possums and borrowed a neighbors trap, then baited it with a banana. First night the banana was gone but nothing in the trap, so I figured it might be a rat. But look what I found this morning.

They are fond of dry cat food, too.

Maybe you could have a little chat with
it and convince it to relocate.

This may help you with what to do with the possum.

Worth beat me to it. You gonna feed it to the dog, or eat it yourself?

Sad part is I have really ate possum.
Stewed possum it was, in a kettle with taters onions and carrots.
Darn thing still had it's head on too.
I guess thats what you get when you accept an invite to dinner at hill folks house.
You just have to be polite and eat.
Especially if you want to invite the daughter out to go fishing for cat fish

I'll have to remember that one... Serving possom to male suitors when my daughter comes of age sounds like a pretty good way to cut out the riff-raff.

Then again, what do I do with the kid who says, "POSSUM! Oh boy. I haven't eaten that well since Ma went to prison."

Havent eaten possum and dont plan on it anytime soon. I took it out of town a ways and released it in a wooded area.
