Selling seedlings in Georgia
I grew a couple hundred seedlings last year and couldn't plant them all. So, I thought I might sell some of this year's excess to my neighbors. Does anyone have experience doing this in Georgia? Do I need a live plant license? I don't think I meet the qualifications necessary for one, but I'm not sure. I welcome any suggestions from everyone on how to do this as well.
Thanks for any and all help! |

Take them to a local flea market. No permit needed. Lots of traffic and easy to move your seedlings in a day or so.
Other than that you might have a garage sale, only list it as a plant sale. For that you may need permit from local city folks. Used to be 10 bucks, but may be more since your in Atlanta. Thingers are higher there. |

Thanks, starlight. I really like your idea is a plant sale since my neighborhood is really walkable.

I've seen pictures of posts where a few folks have just lined their driveways and walkways with the plants they have for sale. Works good too. No need to worry about setting up tables or anything, plus it keeps folks out of your main garden areas. Never know what somebody could be tracking in on their clothes and shoes.

I usually have a craigslist ad for my greenhouse during plant season. Post the ad on a day when the weather is nice, and re-post it every two days so it stays on the top of the listings.

yeah I use a sign out front, craigslist, and two farmers markets. One is a tailgate market so its free and no rules really.
