Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would find a matching larger mate to my little KOOK KWICK canner. This one is a National #25 but I can just about guarantee they came from the same foundry. These things were around when the Titanic sank or is it sunk. They were around for the most part of the 20th century including everything that happened. I love this old stuff more than anyone can imagine. Worth IMG_20170219_4070.jpg |

I just discovered that the wire rack with handles for my 22 quart water bath canner fits perfectly inside my pressure canner.
The rack holds 7 quart sized jars and is 12 inches across. Worth |

I bet the neighbors heard me cussing a mile away.
After getting the threads cut almost to the last pass to make the new brass needle valve the darn thing snapped off. Twice. Going to use a 1/4 20 die the next time. Right now I have one made out of a bolt works great looks shabby. Worth |
