Carolyn, yes it is the pink Princess gene pool
So may be I have even a better one than they have. Early, productive, Yes, better than Sungold (which I love!), the taste is just heavenly. Not only sweet but with a tiny tang that makes an explosion of flavor in your mouth. Still producing in my plastic tunnel, no disease and even flowering! Never again a season without this tomato! |

Whether on a desert island or able to grow just one plant in the garden or container, the tomato for me is "Anna Margaret's Heart". (But I may be a little biased as Anna Margaret was my favorite aunt.)

Love reading about your choices, but I think (?) this is the thread for posting the varieties sent in for the Desert Island category in the MMMM...??

Yes, which means I'll have to now check what is being requested on wish lists and PM's vs what is actually being sent in.

I wasn't hearing back on my PM's either so I just went ahead and packed up Meme Beauce for my Desert Island pick... if you don't need so many, Tormato, feel free to redistribute the pkgs or whatever you want. Lovely, delicious pink slicer! It really isn't fair though to have only ONE on a desert island, or anywhere else...
Both Heatherington Pink and Pink Princess were already on my wishlist, and now I've added Glovel as well; thanks Hudson, it sounds great! |
