Fine idea.

Meaning, removing the papery husk?

I second that emotion! Great idea.

I've been measuring the middle plant (the one in the cage) and it's growing 2" a day. Lots of flowers on all three plants. I think they love all this rain. When the sun ever comes out I think they *will* explode!

Fried green sliced tomatilloes are fantastic big time.

Egg wash bread crumbs and peanut oil on medium low.

I managed to get some tomatillos germinated this year, belatedly, and put them in a spot tightly between my habs and thai dragon peppers. No idea what to expect, and they are getting eaten by big flea beetles. I was thinking I'd throw a crw cage over them all and let them fight it out.

Funny you mention that post about planting deep; I remembered that post before planting, but couldn't remember the answer. Then forgot about checking and planted the way you did. So, mine are tall like that as well. We'll see what happens; no big deal for me either way.
