If the shape is the classic crinkly and quite shiny yellowish green, then it's very unlikely to be crossed. The problem is that for many peppers there are varations circulating. For example I know for sure the padron has a least a few types out there and they are quite similar. My padron can get really rather hot once it starts becoming a bit shiny and seriously hot at full size.
