those snacker sized peppers sold in bags
has anyone grown seeds from the snacker size red and yellow peppers you find in bags
at the grocery store. they only have 10 or 12 seeds in them. what were the results? my guess is they are hybrids, but thats based on nothing. keith |

I grew them a few years ago. The result is the same like the pepper you ate from the bag.

There called Mighty Mini's from our local grocery here...YumYum's different names in different parts of the country, Johnny's sells LunchBox which looks like them, maybe where the commercial growers acquirer the seed. I'm on F4 of the Mighty Mini's this year and they are producing true, very productive and taste good. I only planted 6 cells of them last week, all germinated. I've had a couple people wanting seed, plants and peppers... I need to plant more.
I still have a few bags of them in the freezer, they are very handy frozen. Last edited by pmcgrady; March 15, 2019 at 08:43 PM. |

Yes, I have saved red, yellow and orange mini seeds from those mixed multi packs in groceries. If the seeds were F2's, the fruit sure looked and tasted just like the originals I ate from the store. I grew a particularly sweet orange one last year, hoping it comes back as good for a 2nd year.
