Austin's Black Cherry x Japanese Black Triffle
This came about as a chance cross in the second year at the border where I grew ABC and JBT patches.
It has the smaller seed characteristics of ABC, but larger fruited. Tastes like a rich black, more like JBT than ABC. Not sure if anyone is interested in growing this out further. Too many other things I want to grow to stay with it. I grew it out to F2. Fruits continue to be saladette sized, kinda like kumato etc.. etc... It's pretty vigorous, was one of the only one of the larger tomatoes which survived a light frost (along with other cherries) and continued to pump out fruit till Nov in northern IL. |

Very nice looking, and cool-sounding, chance cross you have there. Sounds like a winner.

Still plenty of seed if anyone wants a go. I forgot to mention it's PL since Austin's Black Cheery is PL and Japanese Black Triffle is also PL. It should always be PL.
