I have two PATIO PICKERS, about two years old, but I don't use them for tomatoes.

I think they are too shallow. Just bought 4 more!

I have read about a plastic mulch, and a cloth mesh mulch. I have the cloth, and think I prefer this. Black plastic is going to be WAY too hot here.

I use white (in the summer) too, but these Patio Pickers don't have a white side.

Shrinkrap thinks for the info, that's what I was thinking too shallow for matters.

The caster wheels on them rust overtime and doesn't really move around smoothly anymore, especially since they're a bit small to hold the weight, so it's best to use the lightest potting mix possible.

City Pickers order didn't go through, but free shipping on Earthboxes today, so did that instead.

What I did last summer on some of my earthboxes is use the professional weed block, that I already had, the real thick one. Cut it to size, and used staples to keep it down.
The covers are too expensive on their website. They use to be .99
Water gets through it, but it worked for me.

Good idea! Earthbox usually has sales on the covers in the winter.
