I got a great deal on used food grade buckets, two of the buckets are cut off short and are just used for spacers and a larger nutrient reservoir...just over 3 gals....the wicks are microfiber towels from Costco....cheers...

Righand, I was just musing about making taller planters out of five gallon buckets in order to plant some paste tomatoes very deep... TomzHawaii pointed me to this excellent thread. I don't see that you've posted in a good while so I don't know whether you're still around here.

Some questions for you if you are willing: How do you attach your insulation wrap around the buckets? And what is the white mulch/cover on top? [EDIT: I was able to see them more zoomed in in another thread and I see it's a fabric cover, possibly white-on-black fabric cloth.)

Thanks,

Ann
