Diva cukes?
I grew Diva several years and was always pleased with the production and reliability of the plant.
Also loved the fact that didn't have a lot of seeds and was a really smooth tasting cucumber. I purchased seeds from Park seed and planted a while back and the plants are doing great. Looking at the baby cucumbers right now I'm not sure if it's diva. Diva's always been smooth skin for me and these don't look to be true. Thoughts?

I also think that's not Diva. i have only grown Diva a couple of times but don't remember it EVER having any spines like that does.
While I like the Beit Alpha type cocktail cucs, Diva is a variety that just doesn't do well for me. It's a cucumber beetle magnet at my place so bad that the fruit are so scabby they aren't salable. The problem is it's hard to know what varieties actually are Beit Alpha as most catalogs don't tell. One way to tell is they are horrendously priced. Johnney's is 1 of the few that usually does but it seems like they rarely carry a variety more than 2 years before they change to another and I have to start over figuring out what I want to grow. This year I'm trying a variety called Babylon. Carol |

This will be the third year for my wife to be growing Diva. We have had excellent results. Ours is smaller in size, no seeds and smooth skinned. I don't think yours is Diva.

I'm growing it because of my experience of nothing but success with the variety.
I'm very disappointed that that's not what I'm growing

I grew Diva for years but stopped a few years ago because of inconsistent production. I liked the taste very much but found Sweet Success to be even better and far more reliable. I also don't believe those cukes in the picture are Diva.
