I am so sorry to hear about Ted's death. I knew that he was seriously ill, but had hoped so much that he would overcome this illness, after already having gone through serious health problems in the past. We were longtime friends and shared that many varieties. We even had a common project, a variety that got the name of my youngest grandson, "Henry's Sunshine Cherry". But when I had made the final growout for stabilization and Ted did not grow out these seeds, I knew that he was terribly bad. He told me not to reveal to anybody how ill he was - he did not want lots of mails encouraging him.

Ted, my dear friend, I'll miss you and I'll never forget you!

Ted was a wonderful man who shared his knowledge with so many. He and I shared tomato juice conversations years ago
and ramblings of best ones fit for the job. Ted was so kind...Godspeed Ted! My heartfelt condolences to his family.
