Texas seedlings and breaking weather
My wife sent me a photo report. I will be home in a week.
First of off Jasmine is now blooming.. Looks like it's getting to be time. Under the lights We still have some young LGS seedlings and Peppers Out Back in the sun where they have been sitting for a couple of weeks are my modest numbers of Baby Toms. I am happy with the progress. Looks happy Obligatory Shot of Quinton and my wifes bare feet.. (another indicator that plant out is nearing)

Thanks, I will let my wife know to bring them in that night. The plan is for them to go into the ground next Saturday, and for me to watch protectively over them and the weather forcast for a couple of weeks with frost protection on hand.

Looks good Bryan,
Some of my plants should be about 8-10 inches tall by the time I get home. You will really like the LGS and you will wish you had planted more. They take up very little space. Worth |

I've had my tomato, green beans and pepper plants in the ground in the garden for the last two weeks without any ill effects. I do get nervous if it goes down below 40. Nice plants for sure.

Tomorrow will be 1 year from the day I planted mine out last year. I am undecided as to when to do it this year. I may put out a few every couple days and have plenty of blankets, sheets on hand to cover them if needed. I had to cover them twice last March. April 8th was near freezing with wind and rain and I had quite a bit of foliage damage but they survived

My Texas Tomato cages were delivered this week. I am also expirimenting with cattle panel. I can't wait to get home and get to work!
Duajones, I had my father plant out already. He is on the island and is growing a dozen plants I gave him. Last year was wierd weather wise. With all the rain and the late storm. Frost is normally not so late and fall is usually wettter than spring.

tomatocage.com It is a foldable, heavy duty, galvanized tomato cage. Expensive intial investment, good long term return if you plan on growing tomatoes for the rest of your life.
I love your Michael Pollan Quote BTW..Words to live by.

Thank you, those words are words to live by!
On cages we have made the concrete wire ones for nearly 20 years, and our nephew and his wife still have our first ones. They are cheap and we have lots of space. However, those foldable ones look like the ticket, I think we will try some! Thanks!
