This year me that Spanish tomato unusually successful. Especially the big one. I only regret that I overlooked some megablooms- tomato fruits from several glued pistils do not like, not nice.
Vladimír PS.:At home, I do nothing but a sauce. I do not like it anymore. |

I'm quite impressed by the huge variety you are growing and the quality of the pictures. Are you sure you can't give an opinion on the taste ? If you don't eat them yourself you can ask a neighbor to do it ...

In the morning I go on holiday. When I come, I will try to compare the taste of these varieties.

So I tried to compare the four varieties - Gallego, Rosa de Huesca, Salobre and Zamorano. As far as taste is concerned, so without any modifications so Gallego, Salobre and Zamorano have a similar taste, I have not found any difference. Probably because these three tomatoes are red. Rosa de Huesca has a slightly different taste, better for me (but not so much). It's a pink tomato (I checked it by the skin). Everybody tastes excellent.
Similar results were when I tasted these tomatoes eaten on bread with butter. Part of these tomatoes I gave away and now every day I make such a quick salad. I cut one tomato on big cubes, salt, add to the small chopped onion and a little olive oil. I immediately consume the entire sitting. Fast and delicious. For the first time I tried ripened tomatoes fried (slices about 1/2 inch thick) wrapped in smooth wheat flour. Before the end of the frying I gave on them sour cream, salted and pepper. It was excellent. If there's anything left, so I put them on a baking pan and roast them to make a sauce for the winter. I have grown eight plants (two by each) this year, next year I want sixteen plants. Vladimír |

Glad to know that you are not disappointed by the taste. So now you only have to care about productivity, roughly of course, you don't have to weigh the tomatoes whenever you pick them up !

Thank you so much for your reviews of these beautiful tomatoes. It is these types of threads that many seem to use to help them decide what to grow in the next year.

Here I present two Spanish Mallorcan tomatoes, which are kept for the whole winter hanging in the room. It is similar to the Spanish colgar (ragmallet). For comparison, I added Italian tomatoes Piennolo del Vesuvio and Principe Borghese, which are kept in a similar way. Prince Borghese never liked me, the taste of the other three I compared this year. I appreciate the taste of these varieties as follows:
Ramallet Pequeñito Mallorca……8/10 Pienollo del Vesuvio……………..7/10 Ramallet Bombeta multiflora…….7/10 Principe Borghese………………..6/10 Vladimír |

But I just checked my data book and can't find any record of them,I may have forgotten to record them. Do your records show you did send me some seeds? My memory says you might have sent them with the Rubinka seeds. But no time right now to go through the seeds I still have here that were supposed to be sent to Shawn or Jim of the seed producer group for the upcoming seed offer now over 2 years late. At least going through my data book I did find some addresses I didn't think I had, along with some grocery lists I was going to ask Angie or Jim to get for me. Carolyn
