Thanks, Karen! I'll be trying Carolyn's technique for reviving old seed, but if I can't make it work, I'll come crying to you... I am going to start them early for this neck of the woods; mid-Feb in case it takes them a while to pop up.

Yes it is. The Russian spelling does not even have the "k" in it. It is there to make the "h" sound stronger.

R&R just for full disclosure I'm getting some regular leaf seedlings in my Prudens Purple starts. I'm almost certain I just put the wrong seeds in the bag at some point and they got mixed so it is probably not a bee cross BUT it is possible. If you get any RL seedlings just discard them or you could grow out if you like but potato leafs are the Prudens purple. I think the RL seeds that got mixed in might have been Wes, but I cant be sure.

Thanks to all my seed enablers! Thanks to the people that made favorable posts about tomatoes varieties that helped me decide my 2017 list. Still a lot of others to try, but the garden is only so big! |

I see a lot of people growing Berkeley's Tye-Dye Pink but nothing about BTD Green. When I grew BTDG, it was dry-farmed and extremely intense flavor. Like eye popping. Is BTDP like that?

What's so cool to me is seeing these grow lists, and who they got the seeds from, and knowing that if you go back a few donors, lots of them were from me. Payin it forward. Love it.

O, Marsha, there is much more "Payin it forward" than you can imagine. Many people at my work got seeds last year and will be getting them this year as well. I am packing them in small plastic bags this weekend. Some will be done today (no work because of the snow storm here). Thank you, dear enabler.
