You might ask what does this have to do with gardening?? Keeping these out of our garden is our biggest challenge. Worst than a tomato hornworm! Breakfast consists of oatmeal, sunflower seeds, cranberries, raisins. blueberries, and whatever other fruits we had.
Sweet chickies.

I am glad to see someone else put a random pictuer up.
This thread doesn't have to have anything to do with gardening that is why it is random, bring it on.

I forgot how to post pictures so thought I would give it a test. Guess I need to figure out to downsize it. Sorry! We have 19 of them now. We let them free range during the day. They spend a lot of their time at the patio door watching us. (actually begging for food). Very entertaining but destructive in flower and vegetable gardens. We sure don't need a rototiller for the gardens so guess you could say that they are working for their share of the tomatoes. Wouldn't mind but they don't need to take random bites from so many different ones. Maybe that they are taste testing. I will have to see which one they don't like and that will have to be my go to tomato.

Bacon lettuce and apple sandwich.
No tomatoes so I gave apples a try.
Very good and pairs well.

Makes my mouth water and I bet the sweet and salty combo was as good as you say. Looks toasted, what bread?

It looks good. Apples can go into any recipe.

Apple Cole slaw with radishes.

I HAVE to try apple slices on a sandwich! I've never thought or heard of that! Hey, in salad too?

Yes salad too.
And they can also be cooked in with sauerkraut, very German.
Maybe it is instinct I dream this stuff up.

Here is a helpfuul hint when dealing with apples.
After you slice them put them in some water with Ascorbic acid (Fruit fresh) to make them stay crisp and nice and white.
If they go brown on you this will whiten them back up.
Old marine chow hall trick.
Worth.

Good idea. I know I'm going to add apples to sandwiches and salad. I rather like strawberries in salad but I've never thought of apple.

I hate Texas Toast it is what we serve to tourists.

Yes HEB is a Texas owned and operated food chain in Texas.
They treat their employees good and everyone seems happy.
I love the place.
It is a huge store but many of the people there know me because they and myself have been around for so long.
