KarenO, interesting tomato. Big size with good flavor is always a plus.

Quite an assortment all from the three f3 selections growing out. 12 plants each. Two things in common, big and early.

The tricolor is a definite beauty. They all look impressive. Excellent results, KarenO. Congratulations.

What beauties. You should be very proud - such amazing fruits produced 'en plein air' and it's not even August yet! The big purple/black heart is stunning, but I can almost taste that dark green-shouldered black beefsteak. It must be a difficult chore to decide which lines to work on and be able to find the room/time to grow out the possibilities. And to repeat what Fred said: big and early is a GREAT combination.

Ah, Karen... such a hard job for you now. Rolling in delicious diverse fruits, you're going to need a bigger garden plot to do justice to all the keepers.

Haven't tuned in in about a week, so all these recent photos are new to me. The three close ups, of the tricolr, the black heart, and the black with green shoulders beefsteak, each one is just more beautiful than the next. You are selecting for hearts, yes?
Of course, if it tastes wonderful and yummy, shape is only secondary, no?
Well done Karen.
I started my pepper seeds last night, August 29 for tomato seeds. The festivities are beginnning!

BTW- those Rancho Solito PL cherries I sent are a somewhat multiflora, about 35-40 flowers per truss.
