So which pink was your favorite ?

It is not easy to pick at all. Grightmire's Pride has the most production, really meaty and is tasty. La Vie en rose had the first fruit such sweet and balanced taste, I was swept. Grandfather Ashlock taste different than other pinks and good too. Elgin Pink is another work horse and good taste as well.
Pinks are ripening later than black varieties and I need to give them some time to really pick the best one. Plus not all my pinks have first ripe fruit yet.
Lately I am changing from liking blacks the most to the pinks.

I am anticipating the taste test of some reds. Terranes 6 is putting some color on.

First Claude Brown’s Y. Giant this year. Love this beauty.
As it ripens it shows this green lines and once it turns completely yellow the lines are gone. It is super meaty and has long shelf life. This is the last variety that we have to eat from our garden. It ripens picked green at the end of October to be eaten in December.
I got my seeds from Maria/blueribbontomatoes years ago. She dedicated so much time to preserve local tomato varieties. CBYG is original KY tomato.

Claude Brown’s Y. Giantstarted is a bit underripe but I will post picture of it sliced in a couple of days. Me, my DH and our son can have BLT/sandwich using just one tomato of CBYG. It has mostly big and nicely formed fruits. The only negative part of growing it is that it is a late variety: seeds started on March 6, planted April 21, first fruit ripened August 2. It will keep on producing until frost.

Daniel's has big maters on it as well. I wonder what size would the cross of the two be?

I need to learn more about peppers with good aroma that are not too spicy. I know nothing about them, I have being reading a lot and recognize some names but... no clue.

I am looking into growing peppers with less heat as well. There were a few people I shared the hot ones with, but they have moved out of state. I will be growing mostly ones that are jalapeno hot and less from now on, and ornamentals. We think of ornamentals as something nice to look at - like flowers.

Claude Brown’s Y. Giant sliced. Perfect tomato for BLT or dehydration. This fruit has the same color as a yellow peach. Excellent taste, sweet with a bit acidity. It was worth waiting for.

My DH keeps on saying:" just choose 7 varieties and plant only them!"
I will have to go with this one for my yellow. To me it is better than KB/KBX.

I grew what I believed to be a Tarasenko 6, but it is Not it. Plant has big maters that look pretty but they are pink. I picked first fruit, was so excited. It looks more pink than red to me, so I checked the color of its skin, it is pink. Tarasenko 6 has to be red tomato with yellow epidermis. O, well.
