Ok- I am in too, but also slightly confused. If I send in 10 packs of 10 seeds for cherry, and 10 of 10 for two separate beefsteaks , and 10/10 for an Italian am I good, or will I need a sponsor?

Would be great if there was a heading etc that Mischka could have on this site to access all the wealth of information in one place that Tormato and others have compiled concerning the swap. This would assist in keeping to a minimum many of the redundant questions asked.
Like many of the new folks on this site I have had to go part and parcel through hundreds of threads searching for the "how to's" in participating in this swap. |

There are really 3 sections to the MMMM swap. First the categories, which you should have 10 packs of one variety to send in to a category. Second, the Wish List. Most often you choose 10 varieties. You post your Wish List on the Master List and hopefully if others are growing it they will send it in. If you see something that you have on a Wish List, please send it in so that person gets what it is they want. Gary really tries to fulfill everyone's wishes, but you may not get everything on your list if it is not available. Then there are the Bonus Packs. This really makes the swap fun. If you do not have 10 packs of any one variety you can send them in as Bonus packs. It also really helps that if you have extra seeds from your category packs that you send in extra packs of those for the Bonus category. In this regard, The More the Merrier. So, if you do not have a sponsor but have some seeds but not enough for a category, you can enter the Bonus section and still participate.

Thanks for posting the links. Would be very user friendly if there was one convenient heading to access all this information. Any revisions and updates would have to go through Tormato or Mischka...

To help keep things in two places, maybe down in the seed trading area where folks posting on the 2015 thread, put a link to up here.
Don't know if Tormato can do it or not, or have one of the mods take gardenglee's post with all the links and put it in the first post, so folks can find it right away. Just a thought. |

If, IF, it goes like past swaps, you'd likely get back 10 different cherry varieties, 20 different beefsteaks, and 10 different Italian varieties, a total of 40 mystery varieties (although you know the categories) for starters. Any specific varieties you'd like (a wish list)? That would be another 10-15, or maybe more. Any types of tomatoes you wouldn't want? I'd exclude them. And, depending on the amounts of what comes in, there "might" be bonuses. This has ranged from about 20 to 40 extras beyond the number of packs you sent in. There's no telling at this point how many bonuses, though. So, a very loose estimation would be anywhere from 40 to ~100 varieties sent back, if you do not request a limit on how much you'd like. Needing a sponsor may, or may not, depend on if you'd like many varieties from a category that you wouldn't be participating in. And, since you seem to have two beefsteaks, beefsteaks easily fit into many of the categories of color. |
