I had my first one of this variety today: very tasty! Both soft and firm enough, if you know what I mean.. Juicy without being runny or watery. Sweet, like its parent Green Sebra, but maybe the color gives a more earthy association and causes me to think it is more rich than GZ.
Will definitely recommend this and grow it again in the future, God willing.

Oakly's , Is the sliced tomato pictured in your post GGWT ?

I though it was supposed to be bi-color inside. That is why I am tempted to grow it next year.

The cut open GGWT is an immature tiny undeveloped one that was attached to the larger one. It had a fuzzy texture and only about the size of a SunGold. (you can see it in the earlier picture one the scale with the larger ripe one)

The slice. Decided to have this one for breakfast. And a dozen others we tasted and sliced then tossed in the freezer for fall salsa. With so many others to compare....everything from watery sweet, no acid,...to acidic with notes of tomato paste,...

GGWT is tops in our 2016 climate...drought, heavy rain...our palate. A great slicer.
Right up on top with the earlies like SunGold and CubanYellow snackers...Russian 117,

Most of the GGWT come up here with less striation here, not sure if that's just the odd conditions we've been having this year or the fact that I just leave them to ripen on the vine so long. I received our seeds from Jesse later than most of you, so its also possible its just a result of her further selecting for taste and productivity over aesthetics.

That said, the fruit is quite large. Average size is about 25 ounces. They aren't as pretty as everyone else; most are fused and some with sun scald, but they are pretty tasty.

I too received my seed later from Jesse and my fruits are looking just as pretty and striped as everyone else's.

I am wondering if you have some crossed seed or a mix-up of seeds. Mine are all smooth without any cracking at all on the tops. Try starting some of the same seeds next season and see if you get a more conformed fruit like the rest of us are getting.

I'll probably do another try for the winter crop. How large do yours get? Everything here is really really big, but again everything is also fused, double or triple blossom.

My plants are a good 7+ feet tall. My tomato that I just picked is 4" across. I'm sorry I don't have a scale here. While I have had fused blossoms on other plants, Girl Girl's Weird Thing has not had any of them.

Scooty, GGWT came from "green zeebra X black tomato". Yours does not look like that. Your picture show different tomato. As long as it taste great, you can always get new seeds for the GGWT.

Ha, I figured it out. On the last row, I put the stem tags in an order not corresponding to their stake tags. GGWT is the next one order, and the first pic I posted is George Detsikas. Unripe, it looks similar to the White Furry Boar or Furry White Boar or whatever that one is called (second picture).
