So far I have only been impressed with one striped tomato and it was speckled/striped Roman.
When you said that Maglia Rosa was a cross between black cherry and speckled Roman I was hooked.
This has always been one of my so called dream crosses.

Speckled Roman is responsible for the stripes, shape and part of the flavor of our "Tiger" cherry tomatoes.

I would argue that Speckled Roman is a sweet slicer masquerading as a "paste" tomato.

Maglia Rosa isn't exactly a cross between the two -- it is the result of a continuous selection (to true-breeding) that started with the cross. There were other colors, flavors and shapes that came out of the cross. Maglia Rosa just turned out to be better, in the end, than the other lines we isolated.

There are usually a few very very good selections that come out of an outstanding cross. I have a couple that are slowly segregating with potential they will be good enough to release after this year.

I hope you use the Hibor (High Brix Orange Pear) I sent to good effect this year. It has all the characteristics to become the 6th founder in your breeding.

Last year i planted two each of Cherokee from four different sources and had different outcomes. (first time i've done that)

All orders went out on Tuesday this week, so let me know if you don't have them.

Sometimes farming stuff consumes our week, and we have to play catch-up on the odd day that it lightens up.

I wish we were as good as Steve, Tatiana and others (J & L too...)

Sorry Fred, something happened on my end i think. Happened with my MountainRose order as well. I re-ordered again yesterday...I'll check ccard statement. (i did take screen shot of order #) but did not get e-mail confirmation yet...

That's weird, because I checked and your first order went out last Monday or Tuesday and from our end it says an email confirmation was sent.

I have the second order, ready to fill. But I can refund it if you end up getting the first order.

Please let me know if you got the original seeds, and also what you want me to do with the second order. I can simply refund the first order (or the second) depending on what shows up. I will wait until tomorrow to see if the first seeds arrive. Please let me know how to proceed.
