Very Nice! Didn't realize you had such a large operation. Very cute family picture your daughter looks adorable. She has grown since the last time i saw her helping with your tomato starts.

Thanks D! Yeah she is growing fast and is quite the character. She loves being in the garden and playing in the dirt. Our operation is still very small, about 1/4 acre of growing space, but we add more every year and eventually hope to have something edible growing everywhere we can.
Double cropping and vertical growing help us cram more into less space and hopefully grafting will help as well. Our lot is almost 3/4 acre and the next thing I'd like to do is surround it in fruit trees/shrubs. My vision is backyard garden of Eden |

O, BVV, she is so cute. This is the best age, enjoy. Time flies incredibly fast: our kids grow up and we get mature (not to say older).

Thanks! Luckily I am old enough this time around to understand what really matters. When she sees the tomato fruits or cukes she says Whoa! So funny

The blooms on my Wes are bigger than usual this year. I have a feeling they will all be around a pound.

Thanks! Oh she is. She jibberjabbers to them in some unknown toddler language. I'm sure she is telling them how much she loves them

Yep, indeed!
Say, tell me about Wes. I've read some great things about it. Without the blue antho, it looks a bit like my Sgt. Pepper's plants- wispy foliage, very large blossoms, and the longest sepals I've ever seen! How is the production and flavor? Thanks! Darin |

The production has always been great and people who like red tomatoes usually love it. I pref yellows and blacks but I prefer its taste to most other reds I've tried. I have tons of seeds if you wanna try it. Oh and I'd say the texture is perfect and the flavor is more sweet than acid, moderate juice, low seed count, very uniform. I'm also growing Donskoi from Bill to see how they compare. So far they are about even with the Donskoi about 5 days ahead on fruiting. Plants looks very similar.

I really like the look of these JD's Special C-tex. Very fluted compared to ISPL and Chr. Purple.

This is the only mega bloom I haven't culled. It looks fairly uniform. The variety is Wes.
