This year I grew no Czech tomatoes, but next year I want to try some of the varieties which I am still not grown. It will be mostly hybrids, but one has to taste everything.
PS.: In the figures, some of the smaller ones (photo from 2015) |

Very impressive sets of tomatoes! If Rubinka is not a hybrid, please try to get and save some seeds from that one! Gallant F1 looks larger than a cherry.

I already bought the seeds of Mandat F1. Seeds of the other three varieties have to come up for sale in December. For safety I kept a few seeds of tomato Rubinka from tasting. A few more photos from which is apparent that Rubinka should be multiflora (fruit greater than cherry). Taste an excedent.

How great that you sampled the taste of the varieties! The dishes look so appealing. Looking forward to your results next season.

Those pictures are so cool. How do they ever stay upright when loaded like that? No wind either?

Vladimir,
thank you very much for such an interesting thread. I had some Czech varieties last summer : Brutus, Slava Porynyi, Salus, Perun, Radana. They were very healthy and grew without any problems. I think that Brutus and Perun will stay with us. Next summer I am going to try: Dulcia, Ildi, Herodes, Stupicke polni rane. Dorota |

Yesterday, I bought the seeds of three new varieties Moravoseed Gallant F1, Charmant F1 and Rubinka. They have not had the seeds in small bags so I had to buy a large package (250 seeds)
from each variety. At least I'll have enough for others. Vladimír |

I'm looking at my data notebook and see you down for Negro de Olmeda Tarde de Alcaniz Rosa de Gandia Morado de Fitaro Did I send you those seeds yet,if not tell me and they'll get to you before you have to sow seeds and Yes,I still have your address. And please put me down for Rubinka, pretty pretty please. A new multiflora for probably sending you 4 that you want seems like a good trade to me,and I hope you as well. Carolyn

Carolyn, I have in store for you rubínko seeds. How many seeds you want? That package was about 500 seeds, I do not consume into the death. Too much it does not cost only 100 Czech crowns.

I don't think I sent you the four above that you wanted, I have several folks I promised seeds to that have not been sent, completely homebound now and can't get to many places with my walker. So I send you 4 and you send me one, seems about right, for both of us. Can you spare about 50 seeds so I can give them to my seed producers for seed production next summer? Thanks so much, Carolyn

Here in the Czech Republic, almost 99% percent of gardeners (amateurs and professionals as well) cultivated Czech hybrids (slicers). Mainly about these tomatoes is a discussion on Czech websites. Most of these tomatoes, I have also grown, but hardly I can compare with the new hybrid varieties. And that is why I devoted one bed for growing 22 plants of these indeterminace slicers and their comparison with OP varieties this year. I have these seeds and I will sow them in late February:
Bejbino F1 Gallego F1 Matina (not Czech) Mikado (not Czech) Orkádo F1 Pálava F1 Stupické polní rané (SEMPRA) Stupické polní rané (MORAVOSEED) Sláva Porýní Sonet F1 Start F1 Tamina (not Czech) Torino F1 Tornádo F1 Toro F1 Uragán F1 Vladimír |
