Paul Robeson - Sept 11
One of my favorites. This was the largest fruit so far, 520 grams. Brown/black (or what sometimes is called 'chocolate') skin. Very few seeds, it is almost all meat.

These were picked almost a month ago, and still look pretty good! Perfect sauce or canning tomato. Very old heirloom variety.

As you may see, we are now only selecting the best of the best for our daily tomato salad ritual - Psamathe Plum, Petushok, Izumrudnoe Yabloko, Lana, Volovo Srce, Marz Green, Paul Robeson, Mama Alla. Lots of Russians

Psamathe Plum is ready for release - it needs a name!
I am releasing this one this year, it has been producing the same for two years now, and it is a lovely OP alternative to Purple Haze F1.
This line is called Psamathe Plum, and I am looking for a good name for it - please chime in to help! EDITED TO ADD: It is a 1-1.5 oz purple black with somewhat hazy skin and darker shoulders. Shaped like a round purple plum. Strong balanced flavor. Derived from Purple Haze F2, I worked on in 2008-2012. Purple Haze F1 was created by Keith M. by crossing Brandywine, Black Cherry and Cherokee Purple.

Or was it a selection you or someone made from saved F2, F3, etc., seeds from Purple haze F1?

It is a 2008-2012 RL selection from Purple Haze F2 seeds I received from Barb Morgenroth, who bought Purple Haze F1 plants and save seeds from the fruits. It is now in F6 generation.
I also have a PL variant ready, it is called Psamathe, after the smallest moon of Neptune.

I like 'Achieng' as a name, it is an African name meaning 'born when the sun shines'. Beautiful name.
But I am open for suggestions

You could call it "Kiss the Sky", part of the lyrics of Purple Haze... and sounds kind of summery.

Amerikanskiy Vytyanutyi - Sept 13
Beautiful pink heart, seeds originated from Tamara Yaschenko in Siberia, Russia. The name means 'American Elongated', ad I am not sure why she called it 'elongated' as it is a heart.
It is possible that this may be a known American variety which name got lost in seed exchange transactions.
