Terhune - first year growing it- From the rains I thought I was going to lose the 2 plants. I was fighting some type of mold and wilt and dealing with 90% blossom drop in the beginning of the season. After the rains stopped, it started to set a nice amount of fruit so just now I'm starting to get ripe ones. I find the taste to be wonderful. Just how I expect a pink variety to taste. I find it to be smooth with the right amount of sweetness. No acidic taste. I grew Earl's Faux as well for the 2nd year and I find that one to have a little bit a twang to it compared to Terhune. Terhune I can bite right into and eat it plain. Earl's Faux has to go into a salad or sandwich. With the right growing conditions, I would expect Terhune to be a real winner in the garden here.

Today is 89 degrees, more like a summer temperature. Below are some flowers (mint, rose, snapdragon), okra, eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers.

Old Time Purple is giving all this tomatoes at once. The two biggest were 15.2 and 16.9 ounces.

They're looking good, Ella. The plants that I have left in the garden seem to be ripening a lot at once- I think they know the end is near!

Thank you, Kath and Alfredo. Few plants are still producing and even blooming, the spider mites are taking over. I do not like cold winter but we may need one after two warm in a row to get some bugs under control.

Well, picked few tomatoes couple of days ago. They were the sweetest of the whole season. Maybe because the end of it is near. Today I had to pick all that looked any where in the beginning of the ripening stage or better. Tomorrow weather is promising to be ugly.

This is most likely my last harvest this season. Few green tomatoes are still hanging but the frost had being predicted next week is going to take the best out of them.

Ella,
That's a great late season harvest! It is so good to have fresh home-grown tomatoes into November. They look very yummy. We are picking our last peppers today. Not sure how many survived the 2 nights with light frost, but regardless, this is officially the end of our gardening season here. I already started planning our 2014 growouts

I have ordered my seeds for the next season from you and Steve. Looking forward to have new nice tomatoes. Happy to hear that you can pick so late in the season as well. Hope you have a great year. So many people have used your web side and ordered seeds from you, we all appreciate all hard work that you do. Thank you, Tania.
