Today some of the Kennebec potato flower buds decided to open. Pretty things can come in little packages.

trout lilies are starting to bloom. they are a native plant that grows along the road.
blooms are a yellow lily shaped flower. the small bulbs are a forage food, but they are tiny. seems like you would spend more energy digging a hundred for a mouth full than the calories they would provide. keith
