Even when Carolyn was alive, we were interested in making a list of Spanish tomatoes. That's when Ilex promised to prepare something. But nothing happened. That's why I was interested in which varieties you grow. You let me down a little, but now I read somewhere that a Spaniard had taken over. Have a nice day.

Very nice Vladimir! Of all these wonderful Spanish tomatoes 🍅 I have tried Gallego and it was spectacular! Really loved it. Hope this season will be much better for you!

I see, from the photos, that you are cooperating on that overview. I just miss the description and evaluation there.

The weather in May and early June was cold. Spanish tomatoes are not ripe yet, almost three weeks late ... I have already harvested several tomatoes from only one Gordo Extremeńo variety. It is a smaller steak, about 220 g.

Very high temperatures contribute to the fact that even large Spanish tomatoes ripen quickly. Surprisingly for me, the first large fruits are Zamorano.

Very nice looking Vladimir.

How is the taste of these so far this season?

In 2014, on December 23rd, I received a postal envelope containing the seeds of forty-five varieties of Spanish tomatoes. It was the best Christmas present I got that year. Baikal sent me the seeds from Mallorca and I am still grateful to him. I have tried all the varieties and to this day I grow the varieties that I liked the most and are something extraordinary and I try to maintain their authenticity. This year I grew, among others, the ones in the photos. I had and still have a very good harvest, but I have not succeeded with the seed production. I had health problems in the spring, so I didn't have time to put any inflorescences in bags, and in July and August it was already so hot (over 30°C) that all the flowers dried up without being pollinated, even in the shade.

Nice looking tomatoes, and what a brilliant idea to add the weights on the picture! Can you describe the flavor of Zamorano?

Yes please tell us about Zamorano- I haven't heard of it before.
