I'm sorry I'm writing now, we were on vacation. My favorites are red and pink tomatoes, which have a strong tomato flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. Such a tomato is the large beefsteak Zamorano, relatively fertile 6-8 fruits per plant. The flesh is juicy and fleshy with few seeds that are easy to remove, a boon for my wife who has trouble with seeds after colon cancer surgery and radiation. She regularly makes a salad from this tomato and similar mostly Spanish ones.

Vladimír if you are interested in a spanish one, with very few seeds. I can recommend you the variety Pikoluze. Heart shaped and very sweet.

Vladimir, great tomatoes, no question.
But you haven't told me it was so serious with your wife. Is she okay now? My wife has Crohn, so I know what it is about.

Since 2014, I have been growing Spanish tomatoes in my garden with more or less success. This fall, I cleaned up my PC and added some tomatoes to Tatiana's TOMATObase. Finally, I also counted the varieties - there were 64 of them.

Yes, thank you for adding the pictures and info on Tania's database, so very valuable. Nice to have photos on all the stages of growth. Merry Christmas!

Links to Tatiana's TOMATObase do not work. Before I edit them, I'm just adding a few pictures of those Spanish tomatoes.

I mostly grow the same varieties of Spanish tomatoes. Of the new ones, I was pleasantly surprised by Gordo de Patones, mainly with the shape of the fruit - I like the heart the most. Negro Estrela is also pretty when it is waiting to ripen like this hanging in a cluster on the plant.

After a long drought and high temperatures, it started to rain heavily on Friday and the rain has not stopped even today. During that time it rained about 110 liters per m2. Tomatoes in uncovered areas began to crack, so I decided to try the method recommended on the Internet - I added KCl to the tomatoes in order to at least partially preserve the good conductivity of the solution and thereby limit the water supply to the plants by the roots. I was in the garden today and it seems to me that it is working. But it's too early to draw any conclusions (I have two plants with KCl and three without) Of course it's a small sample. Why am I writing this here? I found two Spanish tomatoes on the ground, Rosado Zapatón and Zamorano. By the time I got to the shed, I forgot which one was which. They are not fully ripe so I will wait until they ripen and then I will know which is which.
