Default Rooftop recruits ready

Hadn't done it in a while, but I fried some youngins, important ones too. It isn't always good news.

On the bright side, everyone in this picture is doing well and some are ready to go. There's a stretch of good weather coming up so it should produce plenty of growth.

And another vote for bottom watering all youngins.

Default Post-rain growth

Lots of tying plants, fighting bugs, pruning, and playing musical chairs with my containers, assigning spots according to actual vs. projected growth.

Happy to report negligible disease issues. Bugs are doing their usual thing, and I'm doing the usual to them.

Some early impressions:

Pervaya Lyubov very good early fruit set, relatively compact plant

Sweet Scarlet what beautiful leaves you have. Good fruit set.

Rebelski haven't tasted it, on all other fronts it is excellent to outstanding. Trusses/Pedicels are strong. I understand now.

BHN-871 ditto

Daniel Burson wow, vigor, outstanding fruit set

JD's Special C-Tex seems to like my garden

SOTW beautiful potato leaves

Rebel Yell vigor

ISPL outstanding fruit set

Croatian Brandywine promises to be large

Gigant 10 Novikova big plant, likes to climb, good fruit set

Seattle's Blue Woolly Mammoth very good fruit set, compact, nice colors

Dora so many flowers it's almost a multiflora, the opposite of Rebelski in terms of pedicel strength, can't wait to try these.

Sakharny Pudovichok a little sensitive to the current high nutrient diet, nonetheless, the sugary pounders are growing nicely, one plant has about 10 orbs and I topped it for it concentrate on those.

Zamorano lush plant, quite impressive.

Tenants moving into their new homes tomorrow:

GJ-Benton x2, one tube, one 30 gal rootpot
Pruden's Purple x1, tube
Sungold x2, 10 gallon clay
Everett's Rusty Oxheart x2, one tube, one 30 gal rootpot
Marbonne x 3, two tube, one 7 gal container
Zarca x2, one tube, one 30 gal rootpot shared with GJ Benton and Everett's
Rosella Purple x 3, one tube, two 5 gal containers

Just a technical question. The RGGS you made looks like you made it out of black pvc tubing. I have looked for this at the big box stores and cannot find it. It looks nicer than my landscape covered gutters. Where did you find it and what diameter is it?

PVC is color-coded. Black is drain pipe.

you got it. Ask for Schedule 30 4" drain pipe. They usually have Schedule 40 more than 30. I got all my tubes south of the border, $139 pesos (roughly 8 USD) for 10 foot lenghts.

Uluru Ochre if I'm not mistaken. Has grown significantly and is still pretty.
