PA seems to be turning into the new North American rain forest! This has been an incredibly wet year with few snowfalls, and now that the ground is frozen it just heads for low spots . . . and that includes basements.

Hope you can get a sump pump to keep up!

They're telling us it is the new normal.

We've been getting rain, then snow, then rain, etc.

Phila, a sump pump is looking pretty good right now.

nice sunny day here today. temps are only in the teens, but the sun makes everything nice
and bright. yesterday different story. we had another 6 or 7 inches of snow.
snow is all moved again. piles are bigger and higher. we are just below 200 inches for
the year. normal for here.

For a contrast, right now it is 72 F. Sunny and a light breeze for Texas. Dandelions are blooming in a spot in the back yard and the grass needs mowing. The trees are still bare, but looking for the redbuds to burst into bloom soon.

In my Detroit-area suburb, we've only had about eight inches total for this whole winter. Some of the other suburbs around here might have almost double that amount, but not here.

We might have a chance at the record for least snow in a season. It is certainly the lowest of my lifetime.

This has been the strangest winter I’ve seen here in N. Florida.
No hard freeze, just a few nights in the upper 30’s. Was 79 last weekend.
The blueberries are all flowering, 3 weeks ahead of last year.
The Nectaplum is starting to bloom. Apples are still dormant, thankfully, as I haven’t been able to prune them yet, but with day lengths extending it won’t be long.

And, weeds are going bonkers, dang it.

Same here, Miss Jane...it's been unusually warm...weeds are thriving, and the Bradford Pear trees have started budding out. Oh, and rain for pretty much the whole coming week. Sigh....

i tried getting my son in to school for a trip to marquette where the school choir
was going to perform, but our road was drifted in. not a lot of snow fell overnight,
but heavy winds have wreaked havoc. not going anywhere till the plow comes by
and clears the road.

freaking wind.

we only got about 4 inches of snow, but our driveway kept filling in on account of the wind. 2 ft deep drifts of fine packed in snow. it takes forever to clear the drive of packed in snow. normally three trips down, and back will clear the drive. with packed in snow, i can only do a small section at a time other wise i risk getting stuck with packed in snow
on both sides of the tractor, and blower. lots of backing up burning diesel this way, but if i get stuck i can at least get the truck down the cleared section, and yank myself out.
the wind has finally subsided, so maybe after clearing the drive for the third time we will be good till morning.
saw a little sunshine today after the storm blew through.
i do not like february weather. its maybe the hardest month for me.
