Over the last ten years I have grown about sixty varieties of Spanish tomatoes. If I were to evaluate how they fared in the Czech Republic, much further north, I would have to state that many of them grew better than the original Czech varieties. It was probably the global warming, when in the summer the temperatures in our country were often around 24-30 °C. The beefsteak varieties in particular were great, meaty, with great flavor and didn't crack. Since I am slowly giving up growing tomatoes due to health and other reasons, I will no longer grow any other varieties of Spanish tomatoes. That's why I decided to gradually introduce all the varieties that I grew with only data on the size of the fruits of the respective variety.

OK, with me it it is the same. I will grow only about 10 new Spanish kinds next season.

I had problems uploading images. Otherwise, I won't be growing any new Spanish tomatoes next year. I am old.

Vladimir, thank you for taking the time to post pictures and report on these tomatoes. I have Gallego, and a few of the Spanish tomatoes that made their way over here a few years ago. Extrameńo Baterno was another which I still grow almost every year. Salobre sounds like a delicious one. I only wish it were easier to get access to these tomatoes on our continent.

I am sorry to hear you will be quitting your tomato trials, but it is a lot of work to grow and keep records on so many. I hope you can rest up and take care of your health this winter, so that perhaps you will have some enthusiasm to garden on a much smaller scale next year.

Thank you for these pictures and all the others. I tried Gallego this year thanks to your info and was very pleased. I hope you continue to enjoy gardening for years to come and that you continue to post here. Your messages always are interesting.

I forgot to write in that last post that it was all red tomatoes. This time I will introduce pink tomatoes.
