We had a "Winter Weather Advisory" early this morning... for snow/freezing rain mix. Nights are still too cold to even harden or plant cauli, broccoli & cabbage. We still expect some 30's but tonight thru Monday night won't get below 40F so a tray's going out until Tuesday evening... then it's back to 28-32F again thru the following Sunday...

The weather has finally broken free down here in south Georgia. After a nice March and early April with cool nights and semi-warm days, and no humidity......some real spring weather has broken loose. Daytime highs in the 80s and lows near 60, with humidity, and a chance of t'storms. Stuff will really grow now!! Quick...start spraying for bugs and disease.

Sowing vegetable seeds outdoor today. Forecast shows no more days with temp lower than 40*. Been waiting 6 months for this. Woohoo!

Our weather is similar. Maybe 5 to 10 degrees cooler.
I have already planted out the maters.peppers and eggplants are being hardened off.
Time to direct sow just about anything you want. That is what i am doing...okra is next.

We just had 5 cm of snow overnight, and will probably pick up another cm or two in flurries before we go back above freezing on Tuesday.... April is truly the dregs of winter for us.
I'm actually happy to see snow down, and protecting the plants from these cold temps.

I'm not going to bother buying shorts this year. The state climatologist reported that conditions are favorable for wet and cool temperatures through June. The water level is going to be high in our flooded areas. At least I started Stupice and two plants of Mountain Magic so I can have something red.
Massive fluctuation in temps here too. One glorious day above normal, then snow sleet hail high wind last night and a cold weekend coming up.

winter storm going on here.
it is snowing, and blowing nasty outside.
the temperature took a dip, so the storm that blew in this afternoon is dumping snow
instead of rain on us. the forecast is calling for 5 to 10 inches snow by 2am friday.
we were making good progress with the snow melt. sigh.

Mixed up weather in Texas too, but in April that's normal here - sometimes, all you can do is laugh about it and deal with whatever the next day's weather deals out.

Our weather down here seems to be normal seasonal.
I have planted all my warm season crops. It is probably the best weather of the season , the cold has gone and the extreme heat not here yet.

looks like home.

we didn't get the ten inches of snow that was in the range expected. we got around 4-5 inches. we still have a ways to go before we get 65 degrees and green.
currently sunny and in the low 40s. for us, its a nice day.

43°N is about the most I can tolerate. I love the UP pasty, but the weather would kill me.
