Mantis-nothing like it! What will your temps average over the winter? Do you grow all winter? My wife has promised my a trip to Australia and NZ to see my tomato friends when I cut back my practice. I want to come during the tomato season?

Our last few winters have been very mild. A few frosts but that doesn't affect the greenhouse plants. On sunny days in the winter the GH gets up to 20 deg C.
Last year I sowed my plants on May 7th in the fall and grew them on in the gh all through winter and started picking ripe fruit in early Nov. This year I have cleaned out the GH earlier than usual and planted a second crop that I hope will give me fruit in the winter. I hope you can get to Oz. We could meet up at Grubs and eat his tomatoes and drink his wine LOL |

We will be there to visit and meet all of you folks in person. Just a question of timing with my work. I want to meet all of you and Glenn in NZ. Be well.

Wooohooo.... I can play now, too!
Look what I harvested this morning, before the big heat hit! It's still a stinker outside and I hope the plants are not getting fried. |

PP-February sounds good. I will stay in touch and we will get it planned-probably not next year, but soon. Grub-as always, great harvest-congratulations!

Fantastic Spatz. Did the TV crew arrive in the end to film the Australian Heirloom tomato segment for prime-time television?
