Cole, reverse engineering at it's finest. I think hot pink would have been a more appropriate color but I doubt the flowers will care. Anyway here is a link to a vibrator I built and won't cause as much attention as yours but gets the job done.

I told my daughter about your thread here. She was laughing. I said "could you see me out there with a vibrator in front of the neighbors buzzing my tomatoes?" She replied " Oh yes, yes I could. You would do that."
So I suppose that you are right in saying that we are the only ones who would understand. OK everyone, out of the bedroom and into the yard with the sex toys. Enjoy.......

"Can I help you?" "Uh... I need a device to vibrate tomato flowers?" "Sure. What size?" "Uh... Smaller is better." I left the store empty handed the one time that the clerk tried to card me... I was almost 50 by then. Last edited by joseph; June 8, 2014 at 10:36 AM. |

I'm pretty sure I would mess up my Amazon history and recommendations pretty good if I tried to buy (or even shop for) one of these pollinators.

Sounds like you need an industrial strength generator to run that "toy", Worth! Have a feeling you could send you a cloud of pollen that could be seen for miles if you used it.

That is a really good point. It makes me want to buy a few cases of them to sell on amazon. I will only call them tomato pollinators and label them "for use on tomatoes only."

In a post dated May 3, 2014 on thread http://www.tomatoville.com/showthread.php?t=31459 I marvelled about American inventiveness shown in the use of a light dimmer switch to stabilize the temperature of a heating mat.
Now I must say I’m absolutely flabbergasted. I hope Edison can see from above that his spirit is still flying high and the uses of his discoveries infinite. |

NikolaTesla is the inventor where most of our technology comes from. Just the other day they had on the news were they are working on wireless AC transmission in the house. This technology is based solidly on Teslas inventions and ideas. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...tHySyIaxJUrPEg Just a thought. Worth |

Thanks, loulac. I'm just getting started. I was thinking of mounting several of the bullet toys to a board, letting the bullets dangle, and then making that board travel along the row of tomatoes on a rail of some sort. It could be an automated mega-pollinator.
Although if I had wireless power transmission, I could just tape bullets to flower clusters, and there would be no wires. That would be even cooler. |
