I really enjoyed reading heirloomtomatoguy’s story, I quite understand one can be sentimentally attached to a tool that has a story, and be eager to keep it in top condition. Personally I’ve never bought or used Husqvarna equipment, mostly Stilh machines along half a century, light ones for clearing hedges, big ones for felling trees. I enjoyed working with them in a summer house in the mountains, making professional wood cutters laugh good naturedly at me, saying that when I was able to cut 20 metric cubes a day they would hire me. Of course it never happened. I remember they only used Stilh machines as they buried them under leaves at the end of a working day and were sure they would start the following day. I do hope heirloomtomatoguy’s children will have the same respect for that chainsaw, run it from time to time and clean it afterwards !

My grandpa's Husky saw is sitting in my living room right now. It's the 350 Model. I'd guess early 1980's. It runs great.

Nice story. My dad went home to be with the Lord this past October. I have his Husky saw as well. For the life of me could not get it to run. Took it to a local repair shop, they told me to buy another one. I knew it could be fixed. Took it to a friend who works on motorcycles and turns out is was just flooded. Runs great now.

Thank you all for the kind words. This saw, be it may just a chainsaw, means alot to me. My son see's how important it is to me so its important to him. He at 6 years old already has big plans for it someday. Its awesome and amazing how handy he already is at such a young age.
