How many do you want?

The ones I found were $5.00 in a 1 gallon container.

About 3 feet tall.

You should be able to find them in Florida easy.

Thanks for the info, Bitterwort and Worth. No, I'm not close to being in zone 8. Though most days it gets above freezing here during the winter, it can and does get well below freezing at night.

So last night I took it indoors and this morning (it having survived inspection by the cats) I took it upstairs to a south-facing gable window. [Disclaimer for the sake of truth-telling: where it says, "I took" it really means "my DH carried."

Worth,I was just today reading an article on an Alaskan garden,cabbages we;re the size of basketballs,beautiful garden!!!! Do you live half and half texas?? I use to hae a friend from Emminak Island in Alaska in high school.

I just work in Alaska, That’s right I’m oil field trash and proud of it.
As I am writing this the wind is blowing about 50 MPH and cold, I have been working nights.
On the way back to camp from work it was so bad all of the markers were covered in snow and you couldn’t see 5 feet in front of the truck.
I had to get out of the truck in the blizzard to guide the truck for a short while until the markers showed back up again.
Pretty wild doing this at 3 in the morning, I just love it here not very many folks get to do this or live this far north.
I love this kind of weather not everyone gets to see it.
It is a real privilege to be here and have this place and work to be part of my life.
You might say I like life to be exciting, you only live once.

My other (real home) is in Texas.8)

Probably a silly question...
Last Spring I bought a very small (3") bay laurel, it did fairly well over the summer; potted it up to an 8" pot, and brought it indoors in early September. Put it in my kitchen window where it seems fairly happy, ie still putting out new leaves at the top and is now about a foot tall.
The question: does this plant "offgass" volatile oils? I have noticed spots on the window that correspond to the size and shape of the leaves, sort of a light oily residue. There are no apparent disease or insect problems. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

They would contain essential oils as I have purchased bay essential oil in the health food store. I am sure that the oil is used to make the bay rum after shave and other good smelling items. I don't have mine close to a window to check it out tho. I do have a problem with scale which neem oil mixed with a little dish detergent seems to keep under control.

Thanks for your reply Sue. I have spoken to a lady here who used to have a herb nursery. She tells me that some individual plants do this, but not all. Just depends on which particular pot you choose, I guess.
