I did. I started seeds for Black Beauty but they did not germinate. I think i may have to restart that variety. I saw a pic somewhere here on T.V. that showed a Black Beauty seedling being completly purple. Not sure if it was your pic but i think it may have been Gerardo's pic. Either way this variety is sparking my interest for sure.

I posted one in the tomato babies thread. Now granted, it was the underside that was purple, but way more so than other seedlings and not a phosphorus deficiency.

Interesting about your germination comment. I got 100% germ on everything except BB. It was 50%. To be fair, these were small numbers of total seeds sown.

Thats the pic im talking about. The stem of the seedling was what caught my eye. I only planted 2 seeds and got 0% germination. They were 2 of 3 out of 72 seeds that did not germinate in that particular flat.

I had a Sugar Drop seeding look like that last year. I told Lee and we thought it had crossed but the blue slowly went away after planting it. Blue tomato plants look so cool

I also had poor germination with black beauty for some reason. Think I got 2 out of 6 to come up, one being a serious helmet head. The purple on those seedlings is crazy, Ive grown quite a few of Brad's blues and have never seen purple like that in the seedling stage.

You know its a micro variety when..........it has true leaves at a 1/4 inch tall.

Looks like it might be big enough to produce a tomato in 3 or 4 years.

Wow, I started 7 different types of lettuce a week ago Tom Thumb is the only one that has not sprouted!?!? I know the seeds are good so go figure.

Yeah the tomato plants get preferential treatment when it comes to who goes under the grow lights. These guys are reaching for light from the window sill
