[Boutique Tomatoes]

I've got Clackamas coming from Tom, I didn't grow that one last year but it's in the lineup for this year.

I've got a red fleshed sibling line to the GWR pictured above that was equally dark and was fairly sweet. Unfortunately those were ones that I tried to squeeze in two generations in one short season, so I don't have a feeling as to how productive it might be and I only got a few ripe fruit. And they're only going to be F3 this year.

Mark, I checked, and I didn't send you my Fahrenheit Blues selection. I've never seen a leaf like the one on FB - it is an interesting gene and one you might want to include because it curls (folds) upon itself, leaving a very small footprint, allowing for greater sun penetration and antho expression. Also, it is heat tolerant, although it doesn't look it.

The GWR antho was exciting to find. They were so dark I did not know what the flesh color was going to be until I sliced one. We'll see what comes of it next season, but if nothing else it may be a useful parent for future crosses.

Hi Mark,
Just a note on Carolina gold.
When we grew out here it was the most productive determinant in harvest-able fruit...It has very nice skin with a lack of microcracking which is a big boon for us here in Hawaii. Withstood very heavy rains until the LB came around.
So if you can incorporate these fantastic qualities with some extra features I think you will have a winner!

I've heard very positive things about it, and BHN-871 is supposed to be similar but has a few more resistance factors with it. My intention is to cross them with something with late blight resistance, perhaps Skykomish and see what shakes out.

Any updates ? I'm interested by the shattering approach. Unfortunately i didnt find a way to get alberto shatters in europe
