Nightshade, you bet. When everything settles down, I'll certainly post a list of a few of the companies. I'm betting I'm going to learn about a few more during the course of this swap.

Agree. In Heather's exchange, some of the packs included left over seeds I purchased from Heirloom Acres earlier this year - and I denoted the seed envelopes as coming from Heirloom Acres. If someone can use them, then great - and it's free advertising for Heirloom Acres.

True, I'll be getting "wanted" varieties in exchange but Heather has placed a packet limit to be exchanged. Regardless, I WANT to purchase seed from SSE and others - there's so many tomatoes and peppers I want to grow.

Agreed. Seed swapping allows me to sample things I would never buy but browsing the seed catalogs is my "relaxation" and I keep rolling wish lists going for different vendors.

The tomatoville seed sellers I've dealt with stay at the top of the list!

Try editing the title line to say CLOSED?

thanks for the tip Jan. I've tried doing that a couple of times in this thread and in another thread. The advanced edit feature allows you to type the edit in the title and hit "ok", but the change never appears in the title afterwards. I guess it's just a bug in the system somewhere.
