I just asked Jan, and she said third party items are not shipped to Walmart, but to your home - generally comes by FedEx. The ones shipped to your local Walmart don't have a shipping fee... mostly.

Walmart is so messed up they don't even know what they do. Example=free shipping over $50 so then I get 4 items delivered all separate by different companies. It cost them more to ship than I paid. Sam would be ashamed.
That price was too high compared to Amazon so disregard my last post. Robert, are they carrying the Pro-mix? |

Yes they have the Pro Mix. Pallets of them stacked two high, still plastic wrapped, but no price as of this past Thursday.

The amazon site charged tax and shipping. The price was lower at the head but the same or higher at the tail. Worth |

My Mom had one of those. It was the one in a local produce market owned by family when she was a kid. I dont know the size but it was made to sit on the floor and open to pull from. Sadly it was shattered when her house was broken into, she still talks about it sometimes. It was half full of change and the robber broke it trying to get it through the window. Freaking thing probably weighed 150 lbs. I'm sure one would cost an arm and a leg these days.

Biggest one I ever saw must have been 50 gallons or more at a store they wanted $100 for it back in the late 60's.
It was taller than me. My mom's eyes glazed over when she saw it. I dont think it would have fit through the door of the house or in the car (station wagon) to get it home. On the way home that was all she could talk about. What on earth would a small family even do with such a thing but sell the product from it. One of the crocks I was looking at is sold out. A whole section of them is sold out. About two years ago they had a fermenting get together in Austin. All the neo hippie new age types turned out. One made a statement like it was new or something. In the old days every village and town had a potter to make these things. Worth |
