I got the same email today. I have to admit, unless their product is absolutely amazing, I'll hesitate to order from them in the future.

My package arrived today. (my online status still says "Awaiting Fulfillment"). It's a nice assortment, they must be overwhelmed or something right now.

I have to say, their customer service is lacking. I prefer to do business where I feel a sense of mutual respect, not my experience with Xtreme. Too much attitude. Maybe that works with the 20 something stoners, but I am not that market.

I'm sure they got overwhelmed with orders in the shipping department.
I've only had contact though e-mail with Dan in sales when I had questions about AZOS and he was very prompt and helpful with his replies.

I have some AZOS that is about 3 years old, and has been stored in a cool dry place. Is there any value in trying to use it anyway? I'll be potting up this weekend from 4 inch pots into larger containers.

Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

The shelf life of AZOS is at least 2 years.
RTI told me that the spores are micro-encapsulated in whey protein to keep them dormant. I would go ahead and use it, it can't hurt anything.
It might make an interesting side-by-side experiment with some plants to test the viability. From my initial experiment with basil seedlings root growth and top growth of the AZOS treated plants are greater than the controls.

I do not think RTI is normally a retailer. They are only shipping direct
for this sample kit offer. Normally they wholesale to retail outlets
like Giant Pumpkin Guy's store:

Hence the unusually long lead times between orders of the sample
kit and when they get shipped.

My first experiment with AZOS started back in February. 4 seedlings of about equal size potted up in Fox Farms Happy Frog. Seeds were from the same mother plant.
Plants were under stress for a bit from aphids and all lost some leaves.
The AZOS treated plants clearly have more roots and top growth was better.
The larger root balls held the soil together better, where the control plants had some soil fall away when removing them from the pots.
Measuring stem diameter at 1/4" from the soil line with a digital caliper, the AZOS plants were larger also (4.38mm & 4.78mm) versus the control plants (3.77mm & 3.53mm)
I'll try this again outdoors when temperature and light conditions are more ideal for basil, but it appears Azospirillum brasilense lives up to its reputation as a very effective Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria.

I do not know how big a company RTI is. They may market products
direct to forestry companies, large agricultural firms, etc, too.

Thanks for your observations, Ray. I'm doing a trial too, with 3 different varieties of peppers.

I'm also using Happy Frog potting soil. The Azos/Mycos treated planted are clearly bigger, with larger leaves. What's interesting is that my control group, while smaller, have much greener leaves. I'll try and post a picture this weekend.

Cool, I'm interested in seeing the results.
Have you been fertilizing during the trial? I didn't fertilize for the first few weeks since the seedlings were small and Happy Frog has enough fertility in it to maintain the plants for the short term. After that I did light feedings with liquid organic fertilizers once a week. I only inoculated with AZOS one time, when I potted up those 2 seedlings.
