Hmm. So I see. We didn't feed them to her, she just lay under the Concord grape vine and snarfed up the ones that had fallen to the ground. Never had any problems.

What are those yellow ones? I have some that look like they do and we had a seed mix up.
They were supposed to be Datil. They taste like a wonderful, moderatly hot habanero,by far our favorite and most productive this year.

They look a lot like Lemon Drop or Aji Limon. Also a bit like Mako Akakosrade. But there are several pods that look like that. In terms of flavor, both of the above qualify, though IME Lemon Drop is the hotter.

Your right they are one or the other and I cant tell the difference.
They aren't like the large Aji Amarillo.
Wont grow either one again too seedy and dont like the flavor it is like perfume or something.

Really? I always liked Lemon Drops' flavor - especially in guacamole, but they can be the most frustrating plants, taking even longer to ripen than jalapeños. And a bit seedy, but nice flesh too. Some day I'll grow them again.

My unidentified yellow ones often have a streak of purple on one side, sometimes half purple. They start out lime green with the purple streak, then turn yellow and retain the streak. Taste is a medium hot habanero. It is absolutely delicious!

At this time I have no idea which one or if both have that woman's purse perfume taste.
But it is something like baby or face powder.
Not really something I look forward to in a pepper.
