If sweet potatoes weren't harvested for food in some places it would be an invasive plant.
It is almost as bad as English Ivy.
Every place the vine touches the ground new roots and tubers grow.
Given the opportunity they could take over the yard.
Sweet potatoes and okra beg for the south.
