I bought two line levels from HD one of them is whacked.

Using the clear tubing with water in it is dead on accurate it is all I use now.

Back in the day when I was in the construction biz,those new fangled Lazer levels showed up and all the sub contractors started using them.I had always used a plumb-bob and water level and found some work of the Lazer level not to be true.If they are not calibrated(as it states in the product directions/maintenance/manuals)periodically they will go out of wack(dropping,jarring,lightbead lengths enlargement s etc.)I used to water level a snap line horizontally,and plumb bob a vertical line so when those Lazer levels came on the job they were tested by us.I sent a lot of those Lazer levels back to the shop.Even in multi story structures a true benchline and as a plumb bob we would transfer up a steel line hung at the top of structure(usually off of the stationary crane) with concrete blocks as a bottom weght.Gravity never lies.

Started building it today. I got the basic structure up. It still needs 4x4 posts to tie it down and help straighten the 2x10s. Then the second coat of paint. Filling with soil and shredded oak leaves. And eventually before spring - put a picket fence looking front on it. Oh yeah, and I made it level. it would have looked awful out of level. The bricks under the low side are spaced to let flood water out when needed.

I built this today, December 25, 2015. It is what the other raised bed started out to be in the first post on this thread. It's at the end of our house where our living room is with two windows looking out onto it (First picture). It's measures 15 x 12' overall. The two side beds are 5.5' wide and the back bed is 3' wide x 15' long. The keyhole path is 4' wide. It's sitting 31' from the other raised beds shown above.
