I was thinking under that snow, wire and leaves, how happy my garlic must be.

They are all asleep and dreaming of warm weather sunshine and cold drinks.

The brown dog is Lucy, a rescue pup from a dumped litter. Best guess is rat terrier, chihuahua, corgi mix.

Ricky, the black and white, is a full blood Cardigan Corgi. They're both 2 years old and we got them as pups to replace one who'd been with us 15 years, a big rat terrier.

We had to do classes with Lucy for her under-socialization, per adoption, but she turned out fine.

Sweet puppy dogs.
I got a female pit bull given to me that was under socialized, her name was Kitty.
She would run around and fight off the other dogs from their food.
With no beating I got her and the other dogs to line up at the back fence and wait for their supper.
I would call each one by name and only that dog would come eat in their own bowl..
The others would wait at the fence.
Soon they would all be lined up eating with no fighting.

The poor girl had been starved all of her life and just didn't think she was going to get another meal.

Love and a little order, I'm at my happiest. I'm sure it's true for dogs.

Hey Ricky,

Your dogs are adorable! I love 'em!

You probably got that storm that just came through here... it dumped about 10" on us, then last night it got down to 9°. Yikes!

I like the whole puppy experience still, even though molding them can be frustrating. Thinking back, all my dogs have come to me as pups.
