Just had a bit of a tie&tidy up this morning,what do ya recon?coming on well.

How is Hoy doing compared to other tomato's that you're growing? It sure looks healthy

They are all doing as well as each other i think,in fact the whole garden in general is really,its been such a perfect growing season not too hot, max so far 33C-91F and warm nights

Fruit are now ripening and what humongous fruit they are,there's one thats still green and at this stage would be the biggest tomato ive ever seen.I'll leave the first of those ripening fruit on the plant for a few more days yet before picking,then i'll extract seed ready to be sent north.
May be easier and cheaper for me if i bulk send the seed to one who ever in the US and then it can be sent on from there,maybe???,ideas please.

My thoughts on Hoy so far very PRODUCTIVE. now looking forward to tasting.

Richard, if no one else steps up and offers to distribute your Hoy seeds here in the US I would consider doing it.

Strax did send me Hoy seeds and it will be grown out this summer and if enough seeds I would plan to offer it in my annual seed offer here sometime in late Dec or early January. And also list it in the 2012 SSE Yearbook.

Another possibility is that I could use your seeds for my seed offer.

Right now I'm kind of recovering from packing 400 plus coin envelopes for my recent seed offer and yesterday the first two SSE requests came, but if you wanted me to do special seed offer this Summer or Fall I could do that.

I do understand the problems with high postage costs to and from you, I really do.

So I'll let those of you in the US, perhaps some of you who have been up close and personal with Hoy from the beginning, including you Richard, decide how you want to proceed with seed distribution.

Great picture! Thank you! I didnt know it would be so big. I was told that it is also delicious. how much is a flight to nz, lol.

ireilly (walter) has volunteered to distrubute seed and that sounds good to me. Its great to be able to get seed out for 2011.

If i'd known that he'D already agreed to distribute seed I wouldn't have offered, but after reading Richard's post last night about sending seeds to the US for distribution here, that's when I thought it might be useful to offer to do that in case no one else stepped up to the plate and offered.

Now I can breathe deeply and relax, knowing I won't probably be doing another major seed offer until next dec/jan.

Hoy Cow!!! I mean Holy Cow...lol. That is how big? 2-3 Pounds? Could you throw a couple of those seeds in with the TPS seeds you are sending me? Thanks Richard.

Richard, do you think it's a heart variety? I went back and looked at all the pictures you've shown and do see some that are hearts, but others on the same plant don't look "hearty" to me at all, and some I can't tell b/c of the angle of the photo.

Could be Carolyn,mind you if you look back at some of the earlier photos i posted (4 weeks a go and yesterday)which are the same group,it starts off with a point then losses it,i feel generally looking over both plants i wouldn't say they are a heart type.
