I am having my daughter raise some tomato plants at her house just so my 2.5 year old grandchild can help her care for them. SHe loves watering plants and helping to take care of them. They do not like raw tomatoes but Briana (grandbaby) loves tomato soup. I remember "helping" to can jams and jellies. I have not done it as an adult before but am going to this year and believe me Briana is going to be right there at the table with me "helping"
