I have grown Sheyenne for years. My husband was helping a friend clean out a shed and brought me home some old seeds. I managed to get a few to germinate. I have been saving my own seeds. It produces pretty, medium sized fairly early tomatoes. They have a slightly tart taste.

I obtained Todd County Amish and Amish Potato Leaf from a local Todd county Amish lady. I think the names she had on them were Non-Acid and German Non-Acid(I don't recall which became which in the naming process). The closest town to her homestead is Long Prairie. I read somewhere that the local Amish community comes from about 5 different Amish communities in the U.S. I didn't ask the lady I collected seeds from, where her family migrated from. One of her Amish neighbors said his family hails from Ohio.

Edit: Hmm, looking back up the thread, the post I responded to dates back quite a while, too -- but I still wonder, eyolf, if you're still working with Pollock. Last edited by JLJ_; January 4, 2015 at 10:30 PM. |
