They're beautiful, though, Damon- the variety of shapes and colors is kind of nice, but not if you're looking for the "real deal" or if some of them don't taste so good or get very big.

kath-Its not lack of flavor or size, no complaint there, the purple broccoli looking one tasted great. Last year the true Romanesco was good but not as tasty as the more 'broccoli' looking ones. Just looking for consistency.

Damon,

Romanesco is notorious for variability, but not the kind you are showing. Those seeds are obviously crossed.

I've grown it in the past, but don't remember where I got the seeds. I see Johnny's has an F-1 listed. Seedway has the same one listed.

While it's called "broccoli" it's more like cauliflower and that's where the catalogs usually list it.
