Tried the first Super Sioux... it had a little flavor! Not much, but much better than the others. I tried another Country Taste and Babywine, even more BLAH when fully ripe.
Here's hoping than 2 of the 19 prove worthy of regrowth!!! |

I've grown both in the ground and in containers, and haven't noticed a big taste difference at all. I give away most of them, and it always cracks me up when people rave about the grown in IL dirt taste, and how you just can't get better tomatoes than that. This year, I'm using MG potting soil and tomato tone fertilizer.
Next year, I plan on growing more in dirt, but its just a convenience thing. You really have to baby container grown plants a lot, and watch them like a hawk. |
